 "Remembering Joe Frazier"
The Araneta Group would like to express profound sadness on the passing of boxing legend “Smokin” Joe Frazier, who recently succumbed to liver cancer. Sports loving Filipinos will always remember Joe Frazier as one of the valiant gladiators of the “Thrilla in Manila” held in October 1, 1975 at the Araneta Coliseum. Together with Muhammad Ali, the prized fight of 14 fiery rounds is regarded as one of the greatest bouts of all time, a classic in the annals of world boxing. Truly, Joe Frazier embodied the definition of warrior in his professional and personal life. We mourn his passing and pray for his family at this difficult time.
We now pay tribute to him by remembering his greatest moments during the Thrilla in Manila.
